I’m feeling SO celebratory for so many reasons this special Tara Tuesday. First, my @spurs are WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS AND IN THE NBA FINALS!!!!! 😭🖤👽 Second, I CREATED & PUBLISHED MY OWN WEBSITE!!!! ☺️ Third, it just feels so dang good to be alive!! What a week it has been! ✨

I’ve been working (pounding the rock 😉) for months on my own website, pondering when I was going to make it live, as I can get caught in “perfectionism.” (What is that even anyway?!) I decided to commit to “progress” instead. (Shoutout to my therapist for her kick in the butt I needed! 😅)

Two years ago, I filed to start my own business, @magicalmovementsllc, in honor of my dear childhood friend, Army Specialist Kyle Stoeckli, on March 18th, his birthday. Yesterday, 13 years to the day he left this earth, I hit “publish” on my website I’ve been working on for months. There is no greater way to honor his life and legacy of living boldly & bravely than starting the next chapter of my life with the same energy.

If you can believe it, it’s been an entire year since I landed in Barcelona and had the adventure of a lifetime. It truly feels like just yesterday, and when I really sit with it all so intently in my mind, it can almost feel like I’m right there in this present moment. 🥹

Skating in Spain healed me, changed me, challenged me, and renewed my spirit. I felt alive again, after an especially difficult and toxic situation in my life that left me what feels like for dead. 🙏🏼

I hope you enjoy a moment in time that will last me a lifetime… that is, until I make it back over there. 😘 Part of me feels like some of my spirit stayed in Spain so it’s ready to welcome me back when the divine timing reveals itself again.

My dreams don’t happen without YOUR support. This entire trip was made possible because of you all, and I’ll never forget that. 🫶🏼

It’s been a year since one of the hardest, most disappointing chapters of my life has subsided, and yet I’m still finding myself grieving the good that it did serve me, and the expectations I had towards it. I just feel quite down again. 🥲

(As a refresher - I let go of one of the most toxic environments I’ve ever been intimately close to, trusting that the Universe could and will always guide my pathway towards my highest good. 🙏🏼)

To keep keeping it real, it feels like the opportunities presenting themselves since letting go, continue to be a mirage. Though, I can pat myself on the back for strengthening my skills of seeing through the illusion and walking away before getting caught in it deeply, like I’ve done before.

I have no idea where my life is going. I have no idea where my income is going to come from. My savings are dwindling and my optimism is taking a hit.

All I know, is I will never choose again to compromise my wellbeing, mental health, and integrity for anyone, anywhere, or anything that chooses to kick me while I’m down, or wants to put out my light. That has to be a start to somewhere greater, right? ✨

I love you. I’m so grateful you’re here, even when you’re down, too. 🫶🏼🫂

My experiences at the Veloway have only been a full moon skate (led by my amazing friend, @a.m.coke with Hill Country Inline Skate Club) and as magical as that is, I was LONG overdue for a daytime skate here. ☀️

I’m so grateful for a trail like this in our city. To be surrounded by all of the gorgeous spring wildflowers & trees blossoming made for the most peaceful and motivating experience when the going got tough. Finding roadrunners, cardinals, deer, and more on the pathway had me feeling like I was Snow White on wheels. 🥹✨

Get moving! Release some energy! Push yourself out of your comfort zone and accomplish something that fills your soul. Of course as always, I hope you do more of what makes you happy. Treat yourself kindly, love on yourself a little deeper & gentler physically, mentally, and spiritually. You got this. 🫂

I’m always making connections, creating storylines, and processing my experience through a perspective that’s larger than life. Sometimes, it’s completely overwhelming, too.

In all of it, I remind myself to savour the gift of how precious it is to be human. I don’t want to miss the experience feeling, tasting, playing, sensing all of this because I’m floating in the cosmic clouds. Grounding myself is essential to my soul’s needs.

No filter. No sound overlay. Nothing but Her majesty, Mother Nature. 🌎

Though I’m not waking up to this surreal sunrise at the beach (this was at Port Aransas, for those with curious minds), I’m staring out my window and focusing upon the smallest of raindrops attaching themselves to the blades of grass and clover, all gently flowing with the breeze. 🍃 Nestled into the blanket of luscious greenery are pops of tiny yellow flowers, reaching to the skies. Nearby, birds are singing, for I can only imagine part of their joy is attached to the plethora of earth worms crawling out of their holes. 🪱

It’s my first Earth Day in years that I’m not waking up to rush into a corporate job, living in the middle of a concrete jungle. Instead, noticing the smallest of details, including clearing the “sleepy’s” from my eyes, leaves their mark on my “to-do” list. Sipping a thrice-reheated cup of coffee that my lover created for me as he started his day, makes this moment more intentional, and full with gratitude. All I am is “here,” though…

My mind is flashing back. I’m trailing home after a long day at work, stopping to ground myself at a large tree alongside the lake. I pause to meditate and pray to Mother Earth, thanking Her for Her divinity and asking for Her protection & healing. Soon, unsuspecting paddle-boarders and by-standers are taken off their paths as the lightning strikes and the thunder roars and my little oasis of solitude morphs into a puddle of laughter for us all. How glorious to be caught in the middle of Her wild ways. ⛈️

I walk home barefoot, drenched in the rain, giddier with each step. My bag is soaked, as I’m living on a hope and a prayer that the electronics inside aren’t damaged. A kind soul pulls up next to me, “Hey! Do you need a ride? You’re soaking wet!” I laugh, and reply, “I’m okay, but thank you!” “Are you sure? What’s your name?” “Tara, like the earth. (Terra.) I appreciate it, but it’s Earth Day and I can’t be separate from Her!” He chuckles and mutters, “Of course I’d meet Mother Earth on Earth Day.” Life sure is funny like that. ✨

In the stiller spaces that have presented themselves to me because of the weather & whatever is going on within my body this week, I’ve found a lot of peace and healthier choices for myself. Instead of reaching for my usual method of “go, go, go,” albeit socializing, skating, and talking through every aspect of life (especially with my boo thang @robertparkerjratx), I’ve welcomed slower, more aligned moments to really root myself into this growing season. 🌻

Whew, she sure did come out the gates with some magical words this fine Tara Tuesday (& St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀) didn’t she? ✨

As I was comforted by the words of @quinnxcii this week through his song, “Being Me,” he so simply and powerfully sings, “there’s no easy way to say this, yes I Need To Be Okay With Being Me.” (New Behind The Blades out now on my YouTube channel! 🥳)

One of my most favorite aspects of myself is my sensitivity. I’m an extremely sensitive soul- whether that’s emotionally, through spiritual gifts, or my heightened physical sensory experience, I’m usually on a different wavelength than most people around me. I require different settings and outlets and tools to help me regulate my nervous system than neurotypical brains do. Being “spicy brained” (neurodivergent) does make my experience “harder” at times. The world is not designed to benefit those with silent disabilities, or even very obvious ones, and that hits a very deeply sad chord in my soul sometimes.

Choosing to advocate for my own “special” needs in a world that appeases the loudest, most ignorant, harmful people is not an easy thing to do. Loving myself and my unique brain that is hyper-sensitive is something I am so proud of. I refuse to carry the weight of the shame I’ve been influenced to feel in the past.

I hope you feel inspired this week to check your own “loudness,” - are you using that energy to create safe spaces & contribute positivity? Healing? Acceptance? Understanding? Empathy? Remember- the world is not only your perspective & experience. 🙏🏼

As I move through time and space with y’all, I continue to pray for divine protection and blessings for us. I ask the Universe to allow us to Rise With The Heat Above, and find strength and resilience to hold steadfast to the belief in goodness, positivity, and peace, even & especially when it feels like darkness is surrounding us in all directions. May we be reminded that we are the hope in which we seek. I pray we will find more courage and bravery to live and lead in love & light, in spite of the horrors that persist. 🙏🏼

My ask to the Universe is that each of us will continue to find more compassion and empathy in our hearts as time marches on, and to treat ourselves more patiently and kindly, so we may meet others who cross our paths with the same gentleness.

It’s a very happy “Tara Tuesday” my friends because it’s my birthday week! 🥳 My birthday is this Saturday, February 21! 🎈

& “I Don’t Know About You, But I’m Feeling 32!” (New Behind The Blades episode out now on my YouTube channel!) I am actually super excited to be turning 32! When I was first moving into my 3rd decade of life, I was battling this sense of hesitance, and dealing with coming to grips that my twenties were ending. Well, like many of my friends and family encouraged me, “Tara, it only gets better.” And my goodness, I do genuinely feel this is a true statement.

Entering into my second year in my thirties this weekend, I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting (as we all do when we enter a new chapter) and feeling so proud of myself. Looking back at who I was a year ago, whether physically, mentally, or spiritually, I feel such a contrast. I was so exhausted, like a beat-down-and-out version of myself. Today? I’m feeling reenergized, healthy, and optimistic. I can’t wait to see what the next year of this chapter in my life book brings. 🤗

“Patience is a virtue,” as they say, and whoever “they” is, well, “they’re” right.

Happy Tara Tuesday, my friends. 💖 I hope you’re always keeping your mental, physical, and spiritual wellness at top of mind, AND offering yourself patience through the process.

As I’m moving through another cold, wintery season “funemployed” and trying to figure out what’s next for me, it’s easier for me to lose patience with myself. One part of me (the “Tara,” grounded like the earth part) wants it all figured out, to know what I am working towards, and start mapping a plan how to get there. Then there’s the other half, the “floating in the clouds” aspect of me, that loves the thrill of following where the wind blows. 💨

Just like I practice “patience” (whether the literal song by The Lumineers or something else) when I play the piano, I’m striving to be more mindful to bring that patience along with me in other aspects in my life. The more kind I am to myself in my own mind, the easier it will be to discern what steps I need to take purposefully, or when to let my intuition guide me to float on. ✨

I love a mix of mindful and serendipitous. Planned and unmapped. Purposeful and surprising. I’m grateful to experience it all. 🤗

Wherever you are in your journey, I’m sending you lots of love and many wishes for blessings of patience and discernment. 🙏🏼

It sure “‘Tis the Damn Season,” (new Behind The Blades out now on my YouTube!) that’s for certain. Sometimes, you’re the evergreen that weathers the winter beautifully and others you end up bare limbs…I feel like a tree that has lost its leaves in the wintertime. 🍂

Yet, still, I have the strength to withstand what the Universe is moving me through. I stand in a forest with others just like me - moving through each day with hope that our buds will blossom and bloom beautifully once more, in a short while.

I am proud of the strength and faith I display in the face of uncertainty and moments of instability; I know I am divinely guided and protected, always. ✨

May we gracefully move through the rest of this barren season in anticipation of great abundance to arrive soon by taking care of our mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. 🫶🏼🌻

“It was the end of an era, but the start of an age.” ✨

I just finished watching the Eras Tour Documentary this weekend and was reminded of the beautifully-bittersweet-last-mash-up of songs @taylorswift did on the final night of the tour. Though that/those era(s) have come to an end, we know there’s so much more waiting on the opposite side of goodbye.

The end of 2025 into early 2026 has been one of the hardest goodbyes of all- saying goodbye to my beloved Kenny aka Beanie Boy. There will never be another like him, and the bond we shared was so special to us. I’ll miss him for all of my days, but I know his spirit is side by side with me as I enter into this new era of my life. I am so grateful I have another magical guardian angel on my side. 🪽✨(A bunch of y’all have asked how you can help right now; I will continue to humbly affirm that financial contributions will make the largest impact right now. 🙏🏼 The link is in my bio.)

I’m finally closing out one of the hardest eras of my life this weekend, fully moving on from energetic spaces and places that aren’t serving my highest good, to make space for the ones that are. I know that what’s ahead is far greater than anything I will leave behind (though I can carry the good stuff with me). Every era of my life is living proof of that.

In spite of it being a heavy grieving period, I do simultaneously feel very happy, very loved, very excited about the future, and very grateful for all I’ve been through. If there’s one thing we’re guaranteed to be in this life, it’s multidimensional. And always changing. 🫶🏼

To the start of an age, the lessons we will grow through, and only what’s to serve our highest, most blessed good. 🥂

As my heart continues to grieve this absolutely devastating time, I thank you for your grace as there will be no Behind The Blades this week. I will see you the first Tara Tuesday of 2026. 🙏🏼

Recently, I been extra mindful and purposeful towards celebrating all that I am grateful for, and speaking life and love and divine energy into every space of my life and those around me. I am seeing first hand (for example, through Kenny’s continued positive health changes ❤️‍🩹) what loving intention, faith, and inspired action together, can create and revive.

It is not without a struggle, however, to create this positive perception. I, too, find myself at times leaning more into the “Grinch” part of me than I desire, instead of allowing my heart to grow larger and larger, in spite of the negative ways of the world. 😅

So many of YOU inspire me and remind me to step back into gratitude and mindfulness, especially during the “Santa Bladin’” season. Your generosity and belief in sharing love and kindness each holiday season always restores my faith in humanity. THANK YOU for showing up (over half a decade now!!!) for the San Antonio homeless & at-risk communities by donating presents to @samministries. Your love creates magic and memories that last well beyond each holiday season. 🙏🏼

I’m so grateful to continue the spirit of “Santa Bladin’” on Christmas Day, passing out presents to the homeless community in Austin. Those moments especially mean so much to me and again, I can’t thank you enough for supporting this initiative year after year.

Christmas means to me a time to celebrate love, gratitude, and a honoring the caring presence of those near and far in my life, and appreciating love exemplified through grace and forgiveness.

The holiday season/wintery season sure seems to be a true test of character, doesn’t it? 😅

Ironically, the season of giving, gratitude, happiness, and joy seems to be the most testing and easy-to-forget-the-reasons-for-the-season. Getting caught up in the chaos of planning, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and all of the general logistics of the season, on top of potential emotional weights that this time of year can bring because of grief, surely can stir up the perfect concoction of impatience and short-fused tempers, over compassion and grace.

It’s important that we intentionally take time to slow down our nervous systems, integrate deep breathing, meditations, gratitude-speak, and exercising self compassion and control over our own emotions so we can meet others more empathetically and gracefully, not only during this season, but always. We can’t eliminate the over-stimulation entirely, but we can learn how to ground ourselves in the midst of the trials and tribulations through healthy coping mechanisms like nature walks, journaling, skating, noise cancelling headphones, and looking at cute dogs and cats. 🤪

Seasons come and go, but healthy decision making and coping can last forever. Trust that you can and will make it through this holiday season gracefully, and always believe that the best is yet to come.

Sure, the optimistic, hopeless-romantic in me always believed in a crazy little thing called love. But, I hadn’t KNOWN the true feeling of it in my bones, until this man came into my life out of an “orange colored sky.” 🧡

@robertparkerjratx sent me 1st Corinthians 13: 4-8 the other evening, you know, the one that describes what love actually is. Patient, kind, protecting, hopeful, preserving, and all the other delightful things it is. The post itself said you should be able to replace “love” with your partner’s name and it should hold true.

Robert, you are without any doubt the most gentle, compassionate, empathetic, forgiving, rejoicing, and honorable lover I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Even when I’m not my best self, you show up with grace and patience in a way I’ve always dreamt of having. Thank you feels far too simplistic to properly articulate the gratitude I feel for you, so I’ll continue spending my days showing you in all the big and little ways just how much I love you.

To everyone reading this who isn’t Robert, thanks for indulging me, and I hope and pray and send all my good and positive energy to you that you will first find this love within yourself, so you may attract this kind of connection, romantically and platonically. We all deserve love(s) like this, but we must first exemplify it within ourselves. You must be what you wish to attract. You don’t have to be perfect, either. You just have to be willing to be accountable and forgiving of your own self, first and foremost.

I do find myself, as much as I have trained my brain, rooting for the “anti-hero” version of me at times. Meaning, sometimes that voice in my head that says, “this is hard, you should stop,” or “you’re ridiculous for thinking this wonderful thing can happen to you,” is the “winning” voice.

Then, I remember, I am in control of my thoughts and reality. I do not have to entertain these perspectives and spiral in a labyrinth of self doubt and anxiety. That part of me doesn’t have to be the victor, and small actions like taking a moment of mindfulness, speaking gratitude into my energetic field, and smiling at strangers, or at nothing at all!, can rewire my brain into rooting for the hero version of myself.

We’re not going to be perfect. We won’t always be able to be the hero, and sometimes we are the Bruce Willis or the Lois Lane of our stories. That doesn’t negate or diminish that we are still Superman and Superwoman inside. We just can’t expect to always be in that space. Even heroes need rest, a helping hand, and time to be human, too.
